Jessica has been playing the piano since the age of 4, when her mother (an accomplished pianist) began to teach her. She fell in love with the violin at a young age commencing lessons at 10 years of age. Jessica achieved the rank of concertmistress in several high school orchestras and place 3rd in the All-Virginia State Orchestra in 2004. She has been performing solo and collaborative works on both instruments throughout her life in the Tidewater area, New York, and Chicago. Attending Houghton College and the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in piano performance in May of 2008. She currently resides in Virginia Beach and teaches both piano and violin. This talented young virtuoso competes and performs regularly, appearing with groups such as the Old Dominion Symphony Orchestra, the Cantata Chorus, and the group, Celtica. She's been a featured performer in the Virginia Beach "Beachstreet USA" program and also plays for weddings and special events.
