The Robert Burns Commemorative
Robert Burns was a simple, largely self educated man who penned some of the world's most memorable poems. While there are many who might not know the source of the phrases, we hear things like "the best laid plans of mice and men" and such. And everywhere around the world - on December 31st - voices join in "Auld Lang Syne". That, and so much more, is the gift of Robert Burns. Traditionally, Scots gather on January 25 to mark his birth, his altogether-too-brief life, and his contributions. We do that, too, in poetry and song. You provide the venue, we'll bring the tartan, the kilts, the songs, the 'pipes ... even a haggis!
